Editor’s Note: The Owl arrived earlier than expected this evening to the Port of Fernandina and plans are it will be here for three days. A cargo of oats will be unloaded. Although not the largest ship to visit our port, it is one of the largest ships to arrive in recent years.

I’ve  learned from two impeccable sources that the Senator Lines, with world container services, once called on the Port of Fernandina on a weekly basis. The largest ship to call was M/V Cho Yang World.

This was a super cool video. Whoever filmed it did a great job. We welcome the Owl to our beautiful community. The question is “what is Fernandina Beach going to do with a boat load of oats?”

It’s one of our frequent shipments stored in the newer warehouses . Much sent off for race horse feed.

The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful red/blue boat.

Said the Owl to the Pussycat, “Where, my Beloved, should we unload our fine shipment of oats?”

Oats are going to horse training farms in Ocala. These are high quality oats that are better than the oats that have been used previously. We have a long term contract to deliver a commodity that is environmentally friendly and good financial business for the port.
