Tentative Nassau County 2020 budget wins

According to a front page article in today’s Florida Times Union, the following projects appear in the final Florida Legislative Budget for 2020, slated for a final vote tomorrow, May 4, 2019:

  • Amelia Island environmental branding initiative – $817,702
  • Starting Point Behavioral Health Care building renovation – $500,000
  • American Beach well and septic tank phaseout – $400,000
  • Nassau County Council on Aging nutrition support program – $296,000
  • Fernandina Beach dune stabilization – $146,640
  • Nassau County School District workforce/apprenticeship expansion – $100,000
  • Nassau County Youth Alternative to Secured Detention – $85,000

Following the Saturday vote by the Legislature, the 2020 Budget heads to Governor Ron DeSantis for final approval.
