“Subtropical String Trio” featuring violinist Shelby Trevor performs a repertoire of classical music. $20 tickets available in advance at the bookstore

Friday, Nov. 9th, 2 pm
“Fascinating Lives” series continues with Gerhardt Thamm, sharing his personal transformation from “boy soldier” for the German army in 1945 to a top-ranking intelligence operative for the U.S.

“Cinema & Conversation” – movies with a message

Sunday, Nov. 11th, 4—5:30 pm
Community Sing-Along with Chris Platel. Local singer/songwriters Hupp Huppman and Ray Hetchka (aka The Honey Badgers) will provide the music.

Monday, Nov. 12th, 10 am
“Understanding Our World” series launches with Nancy Dickson presenting Mary Beard’s book Women and Power, then facilitating a community conversation to follow. Anyone with an interest in the topic is welcome to attend.

Celebrate Small Business Saturday with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Robert Olen Butler, who will talk about his latest literary mystery, Paris in the Dark.
