Yulee, Fla. – “Deputies from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office recovered two stolen school buses Tuesday morning in Callahan.  A 1999, AMTR, school bus registered to the Alachua County Public School System and a 2003,ICCO, school bus registered to the Chatham County, Georgia Public School System.

Both vehicles had altered Vehicle Identification Numbers and were found in a parking lot behind the Butt Hutt restaurant in Callahan.  No one was around the buses at the time of recovery.  An investigation continues to determine if these buses are related to the recent thefts of buses that were found in Jacksonville last week and used for transportation during the recent Florida-Georgia college football game.”
