About Fernandina Beach Main Street

The Fernandina Beach Main Street Program kicked off in 2015, was re-certified in 2019 and is part of the National Main Street Program that includes more than 1,600 communities – large and small, rural and urban – in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

All Main Street Communities share the same goal: strengthening communities through preservation-based economic development in older and historic downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts. It is a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
