News 4 Jax has reported that Jacksonville resident Jovan Leonard Richo, 42, who was hit by gunfire at the intersection of South 9th and Elm streets around 7:22 p.m.in Fernandina Beach last night, has died. The wounded man was flown from Baptist Nassau to UF Health Jacksonville in serious condition and died just before midnight, police said.
The alleged gunman, Zachary Verdier Jamison, 32, of Fernandina Beach, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault. He was booked into Nassau County Jail early Friday morning.
