River City Rehab begins construction on nursing home facility

Construction for Jacksonville’s newest and state of the art 116 bed skilled nursing facility, River City Rehab is scheduled to begin on December 3rd, 2018. The new facility will be located in North Jacksonville near River City Marketplace, the region’s fastest growing area. The facility is scheduled to open in March of 2020. It is also positioned across from the new 92 bed UF Health North Hospital and Medical Center, North Jacksonville’s only full service hospital.

River City Rehab will be located on an 8 acre site at the corner of Max Leggett Parkway and Owens Road. The facility will be a single story 81,000 square foot building. The design is an ultra-modern design to include state of the art equipment allowing the facility to provide residents unparalleled short term rehabilitation along with long term care. The facility is designed to include 58 private suites with the remaining being semi-private. Additionally, River City Rehabilitation will have three state of the art therapy gyms, a bistro, several activity rooms, spacious community areas, and other well planned features providing patients with exceptional services during their stay. The 28 million dollar project is being built by Danis Construction, LLC. River City Rehab will provide an additional 120 jobs to North Jacksonville.

Health Care Managers, Inc, a leader in developing and managing skilled nursing and Assisted Living Facilities in Northeast Florida for 34 years will oversee the development and once open, will operate the facility.
