Members of the Rose Quartet, L-R,  Shemayah Preliou, soprano saxophone; Samantha Maltagliati, tenor saxophone; John Brown, alto saxophone; and Brandon DeVane, baritone saxophone. The Rose Quartet may be booked by contacting Tyler Odom, Fernandina Beach High School Band Director.

The Rose Quartet proudly wears Navy SEAL Foundation hats, one of the perks of providing music for the foundation’s annual Patriot Day Ladies Luncheon held at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club.

The Patriot Day Luncheon was originally scheduled for September 11, Patriot Day, but Hurricane Irma had other plans for that Monday. Despite the postponement, the luncheon was declared a success, with music, door prizes, lasagna, and keynote speaker U.S. Navy Petty Officer Emily Feeks. She is a Gold Star Wife who lost her husband in Afghanistan in 2012. The luncheon added over $4,000 to help fund the many support programs for the special warfare community that are conducted by the Navy SEAL Foundation.

Momi Malspesis, Director of Constituent Services for U.S. Representative John Rutherford, proudly displays the door prize she won at the luncheon. Next year’s Navy SEAL Foundation Patriot Day Ladies Luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 1918 at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club. Tickets will be available July 2018.
