From Nassau Insider: Nassau Crossings developer Matovina & Company has donated land and will fund construction of the 15 acre park. In exchange, the County will provide impact fee credits to the developer. Public Private Partnerships allow much needed amenities to be constructed now at a more affordable rate.

On September 27, “Commission Chair Justin Taylor spoke of Matovina being a tremendous partner.”Commissioner Leeper, in his invocation spoke of this project as helping to make Nassau County an even greater place to live and work.”

The Nassau Crossings public private partnership is underway.
Matovina in thanking the many members of this unique private/public partnership mentioned that he did have one concern —“that other developers may be upset with me because of the precedent we’re setting.”
Commissioner Pat Edwards, who is not seeking re-election, stayed, “I hope this will be the way we grow in the future—being able to live, work and play in the same area.”
Jeff Gray Says “I love serving the people.” Commissioner Edwards has endorsed Mr. Gray

Individuals who live nearby and are excited by the project —especially the dog park park are: (from left to right) Bonnie Kenna, John Kenna, Rich Hussey and Nicole Harris.

It would be a big help if more information could be provided about just where “Nassau Crossings” is located…since searching the FO site and even google turns up zero….
