Nice move, wait until 5pm then pull the plug. The Beach Police are out folks so social distancing be dammed you are prohibited from walking on the beach. In ten years of beach walking I have never seen contributing to congregation behavior. Oh but it’s totally ok to be shoulder to shoulder in the hotel pools, in the bowling allies, Down town FB action centers, etc. You can’t make this stuff up~~~~the total CYA Executive “orders” vs. critical thinking. Trespass? Interesting concept. Next up “public” streets and bike ways. I wonder how long it will take for the phone number listed to be taken “off the hook”.

After watching the activity on the beach this weekend, I think that a ban on vehicles would have been a better first step.

not every decision is going to make sense but those in charge have never been in a dilemma like this as i suspect neither most of us——–better safe than sorry——-by now every one should know how serious this is——–maybe we should jump straight to 100% confinement until scientist can get a handle on it ——-where do u set the numbers together?? until there r proper medical respirators & face masks for those on the front line at least & available medical personal is it best to set extreme measures ?———i agree that hotel pools & bowling alleys etc. should be closed also —–

Fernandina now with the closing of the beaches, is going to experience economic collapse, esp with the cancellation of Shrimp Fest. This town’s financial situation is at best managed by 7th graders…this is going to be ugly, look for our taxes to skyrocket!
