On Tuesday, November 7, City of Fernandina Beach residents can let their voices by heard by voting to fill two seats on the Fernandina Beach City Commission. Vying for the positions are Philip A. Chapman, III and Incumbent Timothy M. Poynter for Group 2, and Orlando Avila, Medardo Monzon, and Ronald “Chip” Ross for Group 3.

Polls open at 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in three locations throughout the city at MLK/Elm Rec Center, Atlantic Rec Center, and First Baptist Church, 1600 S 8th St. Voters must show acceptable identification and can only cast their ballots at their assigned precinct (click here for details).

According to the Nassau County Supervisor of Elections website, so far today 996 ballots have been received. Supervisor of Elections, Vicki Cannon said the day before an election is a very active day to received ballots. To review voter turnout, click here.
