The Fernandina Observer welcomes the following businesses newly licensed to operate in our city last month:
During November 2017, the city surveyed 346 permits, an increase of 47 from November 2016. This brought the city $204,898 in fees. Permits were issued for 17 new buildings. Roofing/re-roofing (66), and General Building-Residential (49) Mechanical (48) and Electrical (45) accounted for the highest number of permits by category.
The year-to-date permit total is 3,741 compared to 3,268 for the comparable period last year with new commercial and residential construction permits up to 179 from 144 at this time in 2016.
