During April 2018, the city surveyed 370 permits, an increase of 60 from April 2017. Permits were issued for 22 new buildings, including an apartment complex at 14th& Lime Streets called Vintage at Amelia. The series of buildings slated for that complex accounted for the dramatic increase of fees the city received in April: $2,092,147. Mechanical (64), Electrical (54), and Roofing/re-roofing (52) accounted for the highest number of permits by category.
Building activity is up for 2018 (1,442) over the number of permits issued for the first 4 months of 2017 (1,290).
