The victim of the shooting is Paul Andrew Auld, 45, of Fernandina Beach, a registered sexual predator. His family has been notified. Auld was previously convicted of lewd and lascivious battery and lewd and lascivious molestation, corrections records show. It appears that Ken Supernor, Sr. shot and killed Auld before taking his own life. The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. at the house off Buccaneer Trail. The house is just south of Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport and the Amelia River Golf Club, about a block outside city limits.

Two adult males were shot at 1378 Marian Dr. Fernandina beach. Possible murder suicide and is under investigation at this time. Once next of kin has been notified, will release names.

He was a nice man. I met him when I wrote for the FB News-Leader. I’m sorry for his troubles, and sad for his loved ones. Maybe he is at peace now.

My thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends. He was a kind man, very soft-spoken, trying to help himself and others live a spiritually better life in spite of tremendously bad odds and amidst the fear, anger, and hurt of so many.

“a registered sexual predator.”… I’m sure he’s a very nice guy. Nevertheless, I have an 11 year old daughter, and she does not need to live close to these types of people.

They might be reformed and have served their sentence, I don’t care. Move somewhere else, plenty of room for a trailer off 108.
