The good folks who support local Boys & Girls Clubs can be sure their donations are used efficiently, according to the highly-respected rating organization, Charity Navigator. For the fifth year in a row, Charity Navigator (CN) has recognized the Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County Foundation with its prestigious Four Star award. That rating is not only the highest rank among thousands of charities reviewed by CN, but the BGC Foundation is among only 60 (less than 1%) of non-profits nationally to receive a “Perfect” or 100% rating.

CN bases its ratings on analysis of a charity’s financial accountability, transparency and how the funds it receives are used. A major factor is the percent of funds applied to the charity’s mission versus fund-raising and administration. Donations to the Foundation, the fund-raising arm of the local Clubs, thus are applied almost entirely to the outstanding programs offered to Nassau County youngsters.
