J.McLaughlin the classic American clothing and accessories brand for women and men, is expanding its retail fleet with a new location on Amelia Island, Florida. Now open in The Shops at Amelia Island Plantation for the holiday season, the store sets the stage for a broader national strategy in which J.McLaughlin seeks to create a deeper relationship with new markets while the brand continues to grow.

“Opening a store on Amelia Island helps to round out our presence in Florida. With over 20 stores in the state, we are excited to add this quaint resort destination to our roster. The Shops at Amelia Island Plantation reflects that quintessential neighborhood atmosphere that the brand values. It’s a perfect collection of shops, including an artisanal surf shop, local artist guild, and an old-fashioned gourmet food market. We hope to become a regular stop for locals and visitors alike,” says CEO Mary Ellen Coyne.

“The store is full of our latest collections with a focus on our new line of golf and tennis appropriate pieces including statement skorts, performance leggings and polos in our signature Catalina Cloth(tm). We are also excited about the launch of
our sunglasses collection featuring 4 versatile styles. The assortment should blend nicely with the lifestyle of both the Florida resort and resident customer,” says Creative Director and Co-Founder Kevin McLaughlin.
