Humpback whale washes ashore

This morning beach goers in the area of public access 39, found a humpback whale on the beaches of Fernandina. According to Linsey Brigman Davis, a woman from the Jacksonville Zoo identified the whale and reported a necropsy will be performed tomorrow. The whale is estimated to be 30 feet long.
