Howington named to board of Baptist Medical Nassau

Michael D. Howington, MD, has been named to Baptist Medical Center Nassau’s Board of Directors.

An anesthesiologist, Dr. Howington was Chief of Staff at Baptist Nassau from 2015 – 2018. He currently serves as the quality champion physician at Baptist Nassau to ensure the hospital exceeds patient quality and safety standards. The hospital consistently exceeds standards, and is rated an “A” in patient safety by the Leapfrog Group.

Dr. Howington joined Baptist Nassau in 2009 and received the hospital’s Physician of the Year award twice. He received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at University of South Carolina.
