Friends of the Library’s Adult Education Program is sponsoring an informative presentation to help women better understand the financial world. Guided by Tom Hepner, a registered investment advisor, this program will be held at 5:30 p.m., Monday, November 5th in the Community Room of the Fernandina Beach Branch Library, 25 N. Fourth Street.

The discussion will focus on: what investments are, resources needed to meet one’s financial goals, and developing a financial plan. Mr. Hepner will address factors involved in making financial/investment decisions and discuss options for assistance with this process.

As both a financial advisor and investment manager, Mr. Hepner believes that “it is important to understand and be in control of your financial future. One’s happiness and well-being can depend on having a financial plan that addresses both needs and investable assets.” A graduate of Harvard Business School, Mr. Hepner has been investing nearly 50 years and has appeared on CNBC and Fox. “You don’t have to be an expert, but you should be involved in what happens with your money,” he added.

Come take advantage of this free program by registering in advance at the Library by calling 530-6500, Ext. 1. For further information regarding this event, on joining Friends of the Library, or how to donate, visit our website at www.fernandinaFOL.org.

It’s too bad that FOL chose to gear this to women, who apparently have little understanding of the financial world. Come on guys, it’s almost 2019.
