The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Fort Clinch State Park will host a weekend event to salute our Armed Forces on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Visitors will enjoy a day filled with military history and displays from the Revolutionary War to present day while interacting with living historians from major U.S. military conflicts. Patriotic music by the Nassau Community Band and firing demonstrations will also enhance the experience.

On Saturday, November 11, 2017, Florida State Parks is proud to honor veterans by offering free entry* for everyone on Veterans Day. Enjoy a family picnic, a hike on a nature trail or a variety of other outdoor activities. Admission into the fort is one canned food item per person, which will be donated to the Barnabas Food Pantry. Veterans and active duty military are invited to come dressed in uniform.
