Rayonier Inc. in collaboration with some of the best companies in the forestry industry and some of the most prestigious universities, will host the first-ever Forestry Career Day in Nassau County.
Through the course of the day, Nassau County high school juniors and seniors will learn how to control pollinate with a tree improvement team, fly a drone, operate various types of heavy equipment and find out what it’s really like to be behind the wheel of a log truck. Students will also have an opportunity to interact with representatives from vocational and college-level forestry schools and get advice on resume-writing and interviewing.
