Jason M. Raffaeli, a 25 year old white male, was killed by Nassau County Deputies this morning following a shootout at the Amelia Island Surf & Racquet Club. According to a press release issued this morning by Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper, Raffaeli refused to drop his gun and fired at deputies before “three members of the Special Response Team shot him several times.”

Leeper said Raffaeli was previously arrested in Connecticut on drug charges. On February 27, 2018, Raffaeli was involved in a domestic dispute.
