Leotis Williams, a 40 year old resident of Georgia was found guilty in Federal Court in Jacksonville yesterday on two charges of Cocaine Distribution, stemming from his arrest by Fernandina Beach Police Detectives.
Williams, who has a very extensive criminal history, was arrested by Fernandina Beach Police Detectives after successful undercover transactions were made near South 9th and Hickory Streets, a location referred to by local narcotics dealers as “the tree.”
The investigation and arrest of Leotis Williams was accomplished with support from the DEA Narcotics Task Force, which brought significant resources to bear in order to accomplish the goal of ridding our streets of these types of career criminals.
More arrests related to this investigation are anticipated.
