Artist and author Kathy Stark to appear at Story & Song.

Jacksonville artist and author Kathy Stark has put the finishing touches on her new exhibit at Story & Song Bookstore Bistro’s Second Story for Arts & Creativity just in time for ArtWalk. Combining her extraordinary talent as a painter with her love of the outdoors, Kathy will take us on a virtual tour of the most beautiful natural resources in Northeast Florida.

Not only will her larger-than-life watercolors give you a vivid sense of Kathy’s beloved wilderness, you’ll also find a family-friendly explanation attached to each photo — a unique blend of art and education.

Kathy’s book, The Wilderness of North Florida’s Parks, features a fold-out map showing all of the parks, preserves, conservation areas and forests all within a one hour drive of downtown Jacksonville. Kathy will be happy to autograph copies after the presentation.

A Jacksonville native and resident, Stark specializes in watercolor and oil painting. Her favorite subject matter is her natural Florida surroundings which she explores by hiking, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking and dog-walking.

Kathy’s exhibit will be available for all to enjoy throughout the month of February. You’ll be inspired to load your backpack and enjoy more of the beautiful parks in North Florida!
