The travel booking site Expedia recently named Fernandina Beach to its list of 20 best vacation destinations for escaping winter. Joining other Florida destinations Mount Dora and Ocala, Fernandina Beach was singled out for its beach, Fort Clinch State Park and kayaking experience. The Expedia announcement highlighted the following:
“This delightful beach town where the sand meets the sea is located on Amelia Island; pass the winter months away exploring Fort Clinch State Park and cruising Lofton Creek with Amelia Island Kayak Excursions.
