Nassau County’s Economic Development Director Laura DiBella goes all out—and not just when she is recruiting new businesses to Nassau County. On April 9, 2016 she completed the Seven Mile Bridge Run in the Florida Keys with a time of 43:00, earning her third consecutive overall women’s title.

Begun in 1982, the now notable footrace over the convergence of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico marked the completion of a project to build 37 new Keys bridges to replace converted railroad bridges constructed in the early 1900s by Florida developer Henry Flagler.
