Cummer Museum reschedules Monet Dinner to September 12

Sharing is caring!

September 8, 2019

Due to Hurricane Dorian, Dinner with Monet was rescheduled from Thursday, September 5, to Thursday, September 12. We have a few seats left for this memorable event!

Monet was famously quoted as saying “Beyond painting and gardening, I am good for nothing.” But, that was far from true. Monet was a gifted host, inviting those he held dearest to evenings filled with joyful conversation, fine wines, and beautifully prepared dishes featuring quality ingredients right from his garden.

Dinner with Monet promises to be a night reminiscent of the artist’s dinners with friends in Giverny. We will showcase a selection of Monet’s recipes, enjoy French wines, and end the evening just as Monet and his guests so often did, with a stroll through the gardens.

Please note that French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850-1950 closes this Sunday, September 8th! Be sure to visit and say au revoir!
