Circuit Court Judge Suzanne Bass will join Senior Circuit Court Judge Robert Foster as Nassau County’s newest judge. Bass currently serves on the Circuit Court in Duval County. She will be filling the vacancy left by Judge Brian Davis who last year was appointed to serve as District Judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Bass was elected in 2012 after defeating Judge John Merrett. She has served as an assistant public defender, an assistant state attorney, and a self-employed private practice attorney. Bass received a B.A. from Emory University and her J.D. from the University of Richmond.
