Lollipops Quilt Shop is getting ready for their annual Christmas in July event. Shop owner Laurie Malm has planned several classes and demonstrations throughout July for sewists and quilters to get started on their projects for the Christmas season.
Local quilter and pattern designer, Julie Quigley, will teach a class on July 19th and 20th for her newest pattern, Strippy Tree Skirt. Her ingenious new pattern includes skirts in three sizes – small for table top trees, medium and large for all your Holiday Tree décor. The cost of the class includes the fabric and batting needed to make a tree skirt. You’ll learn the tips and tricks that make sewing this tree skirt a breeze.
Lollipops carries a full range of designer fabrics, notions, batting materials, books, patterns, embroidery supplies, and tools. They also offer preassembled quilt kits for their one-of-a-kind Florida style quilts, including machine applique designs in beach and Hawaiian themes.
Located at 1881 South 14th Street, Lollipops is a Judy Niemeyer certified shop, as well as an authorized dealer for Floriani, Hoop Sisters, and sewing furniture manufacturers such as Kangaroo and Arrow. Lollipops specializes in qualified sales of long arm machines, plus PFAFF and Brother sewing, embroidery, and quilting machines, with repair services provided on-site by a certified technician.
