On August 20, 2019, members of the City of Fernandina Beach’s advisory boards and committees gathered for a lunch in their honor in the club house of the Fernandina Beach Municipal Golf Course.  City Manager Dale Martin suggested the event as a way to recognize the hours of service invested by city residents via a dozen or more officially constituted advisory groups to help the Fernandina Beach City Commissioners in their governing roles.

City Manager Martin hosted the event, assisted by City Clerk Caroline Best and Public Information Officer Mary Hamburg.

The staff liaison for each committee introduced their members and gave a brief overview of their work.  At least one person from every board (other than the Historic District Council) was in attendance. All Commissioners other than Mayor Miller also attended.
