Numerous sources are reporting a boat fire this evening near channel marker 10 north of Cumberland Island. The sources indicate the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene. It is believed the boat is a shrimp boat.
I hope they save the ship and crew without injuries. Fire offshore can be very frightening. Praying for the shrimpers.
