Wanda Lanier, President and CEO of Barnabas Center, is one of 12 finalists to receive the Florida Times-Union EVE Award for her work in advancing the Barnabas mission for the benefit of the Nassau County community.
The Times-Union created the awards to honor the achievements of local women. The award will be presented to three woman who show exceptional leadership, mentorship and is a role model to others. The winners of the award will be announced at the 50th annual luncheon on June 21st.
The Times-Union highlighted Wanda Lanier’s achievements in 2018 as follows:
“Wanda Lanier led a successful $1.6 million endowment fundraising campaign for Nassau County’s Barnabas Center in 2018.
Almost a decade ago, Lanier became president and CEO of the nonprofit agency, which provides comprehensive health and social services for Nassau’s lower-income residents. The successful completion of the campaign is critical to the continuation of services that place Barnabas in the top 1 percent of American nonprofits for fiscal and organizational management as rated by Charity Navigator.”
