ER Improvements at Baptist Nassau’s ER easier to access
Hospital invested $1.5 million to make ER experience better for Nassau County residents

Baptist Nassau has made significant improvements to its Emergency Room, including a large, newly constructed lighted entrance to make it more visible when entering the hospital campus. The new 22-foot canopy entrance includes a covered drop-off area for patient convenience when entering the ER.

Baby Charlie enjoys the new pediatric waiting area just for parents and children.

The main waiting area has been upgraded and expanded for enhanced comfort, and a new, separate waiting area has been created for parents and children. The pediatric waiting room includes children’s furniture and an interactive space where children can color and play.

When waiting on test results, such as X-rays or lab work, patients can relax in a separate area with TV, recliners and device charging stations. Increased handicap parking and expecting mother parking are also new additions.

Baptist Nassau invested $1.5 million on the redesigned ER. “We are continually investing and enhancing the hospital to meet the needs our growing community,” said Hospital President Ed Hubel.
