Baptist Medical Center Beaches Ranks No. 11 in 2019 Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. Hospitals. Nominated by supporters based on design, aesthetics and staff
When it comes to the most beautiful hospitals in the U.S., Baptist Medical Center Beaches is No. 11, according to results from Soliant’s 10th annual Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals contest.
Supporters from across the country nominated and voted for hospitals with nurturing staff, comforting aesthetics, and innovative designs as key elements of beauty which contribute to the overall well-being of patients. More than 8,542,596 votes were cast for the 96 hospitals nominated; Baptist Beaches received 24,017 votes from the community.
“We are continually making improvements to our campus to create a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing environment for patients and their families” said Hospital President Joe Mitrick. “Making the list of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals is a reflection of our not only our facilities, but our dedicated physicians, team members and volunteers who make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.”
The hospital’s most recent projects include a new high-tech 34,000-square-foot surgery center and a renovated spa-like maternity center with 16 private rooms. Throughout the hospital, paintings by local artists depict the beaches’ natural environment and help promote a sense of calm and healing for patients and families.
