MEDIA RELEASE

The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital proudly announces the 2018 Art & Antiques Show, A Place in the Sun, at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center in downtown Jacksonville from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.

The highly-anticipated event will bring art, jewelry, fashion, textiles and furnishings, from Old World to contemporary design periods, together under one roof. The themed A Place in the Sun black-tie gala will celebrate the glamour and elegance of old Palm Beach and feature The Chris Thomas Band. The children’s fashion show presents Wolfson Children’s Hospital patients and is truly the heart of the four-day event.

“We’re thrilled to bring this year’s Art & Antiques show theme to life with our events and lecturers,” said Women’s Board president Beth Langley. “We look forward to presenting this event each year to further awareness of the services, facilities and programs Wolfson Children’s Hospital provides.”

In addition to art and antiques dealers from across the country, the 2018 Art & Antiques Show lecturers and special guests will include award-winning interior designer Leta Austin Foster; Juli Catlin, FASID, and William Nash, antiques expert; Mary Aarons, daughter of famed celebrity photographer Slim Aarons; fashion designer and vintage Lilly Pulitzer collector, Keni Valenti; and fashion magazine journalist and author Kathryn Livingston.

About The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Established in 1973 by Ellen Cavert, the ongoing mission of the all-volunteer Women’s Board is to raise community awareness and fund state-of-the-art infrastructure, programming and services for Wolfson Children’s Hospital—the only dedicated children’s inpatient health care facility in the region. Since its inception, The Women’s Board has raised more than $31 million in support of Wolfson Children’s Hospital to ensure the advancement of first-rate medical care for all children. Two annual fundraisers, the Art & Antiques Show and Florida Forum speaker series, enable the Board to donate more than $1 million a year to Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
