Amelia Island revealed . . .

Editor’s Note:  I don’t believe we have ever posted two photos back to back from the same photographer, but this one caught my attention.  Priscilla Footlik captured this photo of a rare Juvenile Heermann’s Gull at Main Beach.  According to a birder who happened to be on the beach, a Heermann’s Gull is a rare sighting since the bird is almost exclusively a Pacific  coast bird.

Priscilla has lived on Amelia Island since 2007. Prior to arriving on Amelia, she lived most often in Colorado. She is a retired pre-school teacher and enjoys being an amateur photographer in her spare time.  We thank Priscilla for her contributions to the Fernandina Observer.
