Editor’s Note: Lana Carlyle and her family moved to Florida from Indiana in 1998. She and her husband have lived in Yulee and Fernandina with their two sons who graduated from Yulee and Fernandina Beach High Schools. Lana’s husband retired from the Navy and now works at Baptist Medical Center. In 2004, the Carlyle family moved to Yulee and Fernandina Beach. One of her son’s graduated from Yulee High and one from Fernandina High. Lana has worked at FSCJ and currently works in the Exceptional Student Department for Nassau County Schools. She and her husband, a Navy man stationed at Mayport, enjoy the beach and riding bikes along the Greenway. We thank Lana for her contribution to the Fernandina Observer.
