Frank Quigley retired to Fernandina Beach in 2016 with his wife Julie. Both third-generation native Floridians and UF graduates, yet raised their family in Scarsdale, New York. He was a senior executive with media companies including The Economist Group, Thomson-Reuters and Ziff-Davis. Julie was an active Scarsdale community leader for many years in addition to her career as a real estate professional. These days she enjoys quilting and he fishes on local waters as often as he can.

Is this the Shave bridge? This looks like the railroad bridge that runs behind the Down Under Restaurant. Or is this the original Shave bridge with the bridge tender’s shack?

Yes, that is the railroad bridge, which is down under the Shave Bridge. Like the restaurant, also “Down Under”.

Visit Amelia Island for the first time this last marsh.
I finally made it there and fall in love with the Island even thought it was raining and cold. we had a great day.
We are planing to go back again soon and stay for a couple of days.
