“Blue Mood – An Amelia Island Sunset”

Editor’s Note: The Kirts family moved to Amelia Island in September from the Western North Carolina Mountains. For a number of years they have visited lifelong friends on the island and naturally fell in love with the island and lifestyle. Since moving, the Kirts family has welcomed visitors to their new island. Kathie looks forward to many photo ops on land and shore. We welcome the Kirts to our community and thank Kathie for her contribution to the Fernandina Observer.

What an extraordinary photo. Thank you, and welcome to the island Kathie.
Front street never fails in providing rich, contextual imagery.

This photo would not be near as successful without the pier remnants set in an off-center foreground.

Save those piers for pelicans, posterity and photography! Simply breathtaking.

Kathie, welcome to the island. I moved here 5 yrs ago and love it. I am an artist and would love to do a painting from your photo. But I always like to have permission. Linda
