Editor’s Note: James captured this picture of the “Lynx” which was anchored in the Amelia River for several days prior to heading to Brunswick, Georgia for a “Tall Ships” event. Ekstrom came to Fernandina Beach about seven years ago from Exeter, New Hampshire after ending a 40 plus year teaching career as a biology teacher in the secondary schools. James and his wife Rosalind enjoy kayaking, hiking, and taking RV trips to the southeast. Jim’s particular interest is nature photography. He is a member of the Island Art Association.
