Editor’s Note: Bruce Smyk lived in Binghamton, N.Y. for almost 60 years. He attended Syracuse University and received his BA and JD degrees. For 35 years he practiced law.
Eleven years ago, after growing tired of snow and cold weather, Bruce and his wife moved to Amelia Island. While living on Amelia Island he has volunteered as a board and committee member for the Fernandina Beach City Golf Course Advisory Board, FB Men’s Golf Association, and FBMGA Scholarship Trust.
