Carolee Adams PhotoEditor’s Note:  Carollee Addams moved to Fernandina Beach from Naples, Florida in 1991.  She was a member of the opening team when the Ritz Carlton came to Amelia Island.  Three years ago, Carollee retired from the Ritz after 28 years as a massage therapist.   She now spends her retirement years honing her skills as a photographer, a poetry writer, and painter.

According to Carollee, white pelicans, that normally winter in northeast Florida, can still be seen after crossing Amelia’s south end bridge.  Look for them in a pond located on the east side of AIA.
