“We are all about partnering with our community and school organizations. We think this is a great way for school groups and area not-for-profits to help us perpetuate our vision and mission while exposing their groups to the literary arts and helping them achieve their goals through fundraising at our Festival,” says Raffaela Marie Rizzo Fenn, this year’s AIBF president.

The family-fun-filled day with contests, prizes, author signings, presentations and breakout session for all ages, is in celebration of the written word and life-long learning. More than 100 authors are scheduled to exhibit and the festival organizers are expecting nearly a thousand attendees throughout the day with people coming from as far away as Chicago and throughout the Southeast. The AIBF Saturday Author Expo/Reader Extravaganza is sponsored by Online Binding of Jacksonville and CBC National Bank of Nassau County. All the activities are literacy related and celebrate our unique community.

“Everything we are doing is geared to demonstrating by example to our students, the recipients of our Authors in Schools Program, our commitment to life-long learning,” says Lauree Hemke, AIBF Board secretary.

Led by Honorary Chairman and NYT and Number One International Bestselling Author, Steve Berry, this is the 15th annual Amelia Island Book Festival. The daylong celebration event is the culmination of the three-day Amelia Encounter—Action, Thrills and Mystery featuring a cavalcade of noted authors, books and excitement, running from Thursday, Feb. 18 through Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 with ticketed and free events. Authors and visitors will join Northeast Floridians and Southern Georgia neighbors for this scintillating celebration of books, people, culture and creativity!
