Amelia Community Theatre
Press Release

ACT Executive Director
March 16, 2020

Amelia Community Theatre’s highest priority is always the safety of our patrons and volunteers.

At the recommendation of the CDC regarding the coronavirus, ACT will be placing all productions on hiatus for the next eight weeks. We will be canceling or postponing shows and other events that will be unable to have regular performance dates. We look forward to bringing you great theatre and great stories as soon as possible. As this situation continues to develop, we will provide more information about what ACT is doing.

At this time, we are postponing performances of The Book of Will and canceling performances for Where Words Once Were . The Amelia Island Dance Festival is being rescheduled for August 27-29, 2020, and Acoustic Sessions for March and April are being canceled. The Box Office will notify guests who have purchased tickets about their options to exchange their tickets or receive an in-house credit, refund, or tax donation receipt.

Season Ticket Holders will receive in-house credits to their accounts that can be used for future productions or exclusive Season Member Only events.

Your continued support of ACT is as essential now as it ever has been. I thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as we navigate these unique times.

We have been excited to offer live theatre for almost 40 years and look forward to another 40 years of wonderful shows. We celebrate the dedication of the many volunteers who have rehearsed for plays currently being paused. Although their hard work may not be seen on stage today, it will come to life as soon as we can return to regular productions.

More information will be available soon at AmeliaCommunityTheatre.org.

See you in the audience soon,

Tener
