As the first affiliate of the Armed Services YMCA in Florida, the First Coast YMCA strengthens our military family by providing healthy living programs and services to the young men and women of all five armed services.

Military Family Month is a way for the Y to give back to military families in our communities with a focus on fun, health and wellness.

WHEN: During the entire month of November.

Who: For all military members, veterans and their families.

WHERE: All First Coast YMCA locations.

HOW: Guests must check in at the front desk of their local Y branch and sign a waiver in order to participate.

The First Coast Y invites all military families and veterans that are not currently members, to try the Y for FREE and take advantage of a variety of member benefits. For those interested in joining the YMCA, the joining fee is waived and there are exclusive rates for military individuals, families, and veterans.

WHY: Jacksonville is home to the third largest military population in the nation, with over 40,000 active duty personnel, 6,000 active reserves and 170,000 veterans. YMCA of Florida’s First Coast’s affiliation with the Armed Services YMCA was established to cater to the needs of Jacksonville’s military members.
