Advanced Disposal begins old trash container removal for City residents on Monday, January 14

If your typical trash collection day in the City of Fernandina Beach is Monday then place your old empty trash containers out for pick up on Monday, January 14.  Advanced Disposal will begin removing the old containers for residents and commercial businesses who have Monday pick up.  Residents with Tuesday pick up will place their old containers out on Tuesday and so on.

A word of warning.  Since it is not possible for Advanced Disposal to remove all containers in one day, you may find that your old containers were not picked up.  According to Advanced Disposal, “ If they are not removed the first collection day they will be removed the next.”

NO GARBAGE WILL BE COLLECTED IN THE OLD BINS AS OF JANUARY 25.

Should we put our weekly refuse/recycle in the new cans and also put out the empty old cans? Or do we use the old cans this week for trash and recycle and start using new cans next week?

The announcement states they will pick up empty old bins (cans)
