BBQ & Silent Auction, Sunday 6/23/19 from 10am- 2pm
Christina Shannon is the manager of Bar Zin Bistro and Wine Bar located in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She is also the Mom of a recently graduated kindergartener where her child was a classmate of Addy Tomberlin, who is in the fight of her life.
Like so many of us, Christina was deeply touched by Addy’s story as she battles High Risk PH+ Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. The news that Addy was experiencing a relapse of this disease after nearly a year in remission prompted her to action.
Christina decided to organize a benefit to help Addy’s family with travel expenses and medical bills while they provide the best care possible for little Addy and her two younger sisters.
The benefit is a Barbeque & Silent Auction happening on Market Sunday in the Palmetto Walk grounds next to BarZin at 4924 First Coast Hwy. Fernandina Beach, Florida. The event takes place from 10 am – 2 pm. Enjoy the shops, outdoor vendors, live music, food and more.
There will be great Barbecue by Island Brother’s Sauce Company featuring Pulled Pork BBQ Texas Style, Mojo Pork tacos, Burro Butt Rub, Chicken Thighs, and Baked Beans and Corn on the Cobb. Plus they will be using their own amazing sauces on each entrée.
Keller Williams Realty, Atlantic Partners will be handling the Silent Auction which has more than 40 items. From fishing charters, to hotel stays, art, dining gift certificate, services and so much more. 100% of the proceeds go to Addy’s journey toward recovery.
