Activities in Fernandina Beach in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King

On  Saturday, January 14, at 8:30 a.m. the NAACP will be hosting their annual Martin Luther King Breakfast at the Atlantic Avenue Recreation Center in Fernandina Beach.  Reverend  Reginald Gundy of Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville will be the keynote speaker.

A consecration service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King will be held at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Atlantic Ave & 10th Street at 4:00 on Sunday, January 15.

At noon on Monday, January 16, the annual Martin Luther King Parade will begin.  The parade will head west on Ash Street, down South 2nd Street, turning east on Centre Street Fernandina.  After the parade there will be a gathering at the MLK Center Auditorium  on Elm Street.
