8 Flags Playscapes to hold official groundbreaking for Egans Creek Park

Egans Creek ParkOn Friday, February 12, at 4:30 p.m. 8 Flags Playscapes will hold an official groundbreaking for the Egans Creek Park Redevelopment project. The park is located at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and North Wolff Street in Fernandina Beach.

Once completed the park will include A quarter-mile fitness trail with twelve exercise stations, a yoga garden, a fishing and birdwatching dock, and a kayak launch into Egans Creek will provide a wide array of activities to engage people of all interests, while maintaining high standards for universal accessibility. Additionally, new restroom facilities, gazebos, and pavilion structures.

Elected officials from the county and city will be in attendance.

8 Flags Playscapes, Inc. is a non-profit grass-roots community organization dedicated to building places where playing is fun for everyone. This tax exempt organization is seeking donations. Click here if you wish to donate.

A fantastic project from a great organization working with the City to improve this park and bring a new feature to the City in the form of the kayak launch. Best wishes.
