Andrew Schmidt appointed as Senior Director of Development and Marketing at
Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County

Boys and Girls Clubs of Nassau County is pleased to announce that Andrew Schmidt has joined the staff as Senior Director of Development and Marketing.

Schmidt will oversee the fundraising and marketing efforts for both the Roberts Learning & Achievement Center (1175 Lime Street) and Miller Freedom Center (942259 Old Nassauville Road) both of which provide after-school and summer programs to youth ages 6 to 18 and offer a safe place to improve their academics, be engaged with positive role models, and develop into confident leaders.

Schmidt has over 16 years of experience in securing philanthropic support for and leading public relations and marketing communications at various nonprofit organizations, including most recently as Director of Communications for Development and Alumni Affairs at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

A native of Amelia Island, Schmidt is glad to be able to put his talents to use in support of the youth of Nassau County. “I’m thrilled to be living in Fernandina Beach again and excited to immerse myself in the community and help our Club members achieve their academic and personal goals.”
